What age of child should this fit? This is an absolutely adorable hat and I’d like to make it for my granddaughter, but she’s only 4 months old. Something to stash for days to come!

    Thanks for sharing.

Kathy, pattern is for 18M up to adult size (made with Pantos Grace or Catania cotton). For size 4M I would recommend use baby sport yarn or any thinner yarn to get a smaller size.

    Thank you,
    Alla

Your vintage rose cap is beautiful Are you the designer of the top the model is wearing? I would love to have that pattern as well. Also, have you created a spring/summer crochet dress pattern? Your designs are so beautiful, that I am certain any dress you designed would be beautiful and I would be very interested in it. I would be very interested in the top, too. Thanks for your designs.

I am making the beautiful little Vintage Rose hat. It has turned out perfectly until I reached round 8. I am confused about the 3 sc’s right at the beginning. When I did those stitches and came around to slip stitch at the end it didn’t look right. I put the stitches in the very first chain 2 which is immediately after the slip stitch on the row I had just finished. Can anyone help me understand this stitch. I have made lots of blankets but this is my first hat. Thanks!!!

I made it to Rnd 9 and things began to get a little muddy for me. I’m not sure if I need to do the 2dc,ch1,2dc in each chain 1 space or the middle ch1 spc. For some reason my hat keeps getting wider and wider so I wonder where I went wrong. Am starting over and trying again to see if I missed something. Also, in order to do a childs hat do I skip Rnd 14-16 and jump to the All Sizes instructions? Can’t wait to see how this turns out. I have several teenage girls who are anxiously awaiting a new hat!

This pattern is so beautiful. I have gotten to where I only have about 10 rounds left and what I have looks like a big doily, no decreases that I could see to make it hat-like. What have I done wrong? Thank you so much for any help. I don’t want to undo what I have done because it’s so pretty and I’m hoping I can fix it.

What a beautiful hat and I would like to make it for my daughter however I keep getting hung up on rnd 3…..when I skip 2 stitches I have only 8 dc/2c …what the heck am I doing wrong???? I am fine with the number of stitches in rnd 2 and if I only skip 1 in rnd 3 I have the right number but then the hat tends to get too big. I consider myself and experianced crochet and knitter I just can’t seem to figure this one out….has any one else had this problem???
