Swank Scarf & Cap Set | Interweave Crochet Fall 2018

I bet you long time ago got a copy of Interweave Crochet Fall 2018 issue. But I just got digital my yesterday 🙈 even with my design in.

Well, better is late than never… right?!

Swank Cap & Scarf Set
Use puff stitches to create the incredible texture on this matching scarf and slouchy hat. Superbulky yarn creates the pom-pom on the hat and is threaded through the open spaces in the scarf.

FINISHED SIZE
Scarf: 8.5” wide and 75″” long, excluding tassels; Cap: about 20″” in circumference at band and 10.5” tall, unstretched.

YARN
Sugar Bush Yarns Bold (100% extrafine merino; 190 yd / 3.5 oz): #3025 chestnut tree (MC), 8 balls.

Sugar Bush Yarns Chill (100% extrafine merino; 52 yd / 3.5 oz): #1005 copper (CC), 1 ball.

HOOK
Size H/8 (5 mm) and G/6 (4 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

NOTIONS
Yarn needle; 4.5” cardboard square, 1; 3.5” pom-pom maker.

GAUGE
Scarf: 3 lg puff V-sts and 6 rows = 3.5″” in patt; cap: 6 puff V-sts and 9 rnds = 4.5” in patt.”
