My Gymnastic Girl

Competition02

EVERGREEN INVITATIONAL, 2012

What a long, but such exciting and lovely day we spent at rhythmic gymnastics Individual and Group competition our daughter participated! We enjoyed such beautiful and outstanding performances, incredibly talented and beautiful participants and atmosphere. Such memories!

Our daughter got 1st place overall in her age and level! We are really happy that Kristin enjoins gymnastic and feel so proud for our girl! Each level has different rules and number or routines to show. Kristin competed in Level 4 and had 3 routines: floor, ball and rope. She got 1st place in both ball and rope routines, 3rd place in floor routine and 1st place overall!!

Kristin’s floor routine:

Here is also Ball and Rope routines, but unfortunately about the same horrible quality (as well as the pictures). We definitely need to work on this part and probably use something different that just iPhone’s camera ;o)

Out of power

Just a quick note that  our area is out of power now and I have no access to my computer to process your orders placed at Etsy, DaWanda and Artfire. We really hope everything will be fixes soon. Other than that is we still enjoy snow for last 4 days. Not a typical weather for Seattle. By the moment, I think I like rain better ;0)

I’ll keep you updated. Thank you!

Updates
January, 20. Still out of power. Just checked our home – it’s 46 degrees inside… brrr Thanks to our friends, we were “adopted” last night and still warm and safety ;o)

January, 21. Home, sweet home! Hooray!! We are joking that End of the World 2012 for us has passed, and a new era began. Even the Internet is back! :0) I’ll in touch just in a few!

Parfait. Crocheted Hat & Scarf Pattern for Kids and Adult

Parfait Logo

Give your special girl the perfect gift with this beret and scarf set, in a delicious blend of dessert colors! Crochet it in sport weight yarn – cotton for spring/summer, or wool for cooler days. This set will draw admiring looks wherever she goes – to a party, the park, the mall, or even on a road trip!

The hat is a lovely confection of mesh stitches with a ribbed brim, frosted with picot edging rounds worked in contrasting colors to refresh the eye. Use turquoise, lime, white and candy pink as shown in the photos, or make up your own color combinations for extra fun! Topped off with tiny dangling pom-poms, this adorable beret will surely be to the wearer’s taste!

Parfait01

Keeping warm, looking cool — function and fashion come together in this asymmetrical scarf! Easy mesh repeats are finished with a ribbed band and loop closure on one end, and distinctive picot edging on the other, for a piece that is both scrumptious and stylish. Accessorize it with matching pom-poms to complete the Parfait look!

Parfait07

This would also be a wonderful gift idea for your family and friends! You can even make your own variations for each person – try using tassels instead of pom-poms, or leave them off altogether for a more classic effect. Whichever you choose, it will always be just perfect!

Not only that – this also was the collaboration with my friend and beyond talented French designer Francoise Lama-Solet, who designed the gorgeous dress. We worked closely together to offer you the perfect set for winter and spring. This set will be awesome for Valentine as well. Make sure to visit Francoise’s store to order your. You will love it!!

… And as always, now is our traditional little Giveaway: first 3 persons, who leave comment on this post will receive any one of these pattern via email in PDF format for FREE!! Good luck and have a Fun!

Another, Parfait pattern is scheduled to be released January, 16. I’m so excited about this my first 2012 Spring project, not to mention it’s our collaboration with amazing French designer and good friend of mine! Stay tuned ;o)

In the other news

I am so glad how 2012 is turned already busy, exciting and productive! I’ve finished a garment (and almost a pattern) for a book publication I’m participating. Yippee!! Also, I’m on half way with new crocheted blanket/cover and pattern (double Yippee, because I wanted to work on that since so long). Also I have 2 more finished Spring designs, but still need to write the patterns. And yes, I did not forget about Ethno Chic Vest and Grape Top (a crocheted version) I’ve promised. Both are already on my schedule.

I am really looking forward to this year. It’s going to be a year of innovations in some ways. This is the year I plan to work my very first book (finally!! Book sneak peek is coming soon, I’m working on it). This is also the year when I would like to offer you some crochet/knit techniques I use since so long, but never was brave enough to describe them LOL (more on that soon, soon, pretty soon!!) … Well, I have so many plans and so many aspirations and really hope I can manage all of that Smile with tongue out

I thank you all for your support in 2011 and I wish 2012 is the best year ever for you too!
Now, get back to work!! :0)
