Kristin’s first sew project

Oh my, can I explain my feelings even if on my native language… but there is a first
sew project of my 6 1/2 years old and I feel SOO PROUD for my Sweet daughter!!!!!
She just finished her Organizer and I’m sure it’s the best thing in the world, isn’t?!:)

The funny moment was… when I’ve offered to Kristin try something, but crochet
she said: “No, THANKS mommy! Crocheting looks too boring for me” Do you think
it’s because of me, who practically never separating with crochet hook or knitting
needles during almost of my free time ;)

That’s really cute! She did a wonderful job for her first time :) They just grow up way too fast, don’t they?

My daughter has started crocheting. Right now she is still chaining. I am letting her go at her own pace. After she started, two of my other girls wanted to join in!! lol!

I think any type of DIY is awesome! More power to your daughter!! I can’t wait to see what she’ll do next.

Oh , that’s AWESOME to hear that one of your Sweeties started crocheting and other girls were inspired!!! Please share their projects, I’m sure they will be AMAZING and SO SPECIAL!!!!
I do remember when I was crocheted my first “scarf” for my mom… it was about 4″x4″ square (LOL!!) and SURE I was super upset that my Mommy did not wear it… I was about 5 years old ;)
For Kristin skills… To be honest, I’m hat off!!! She has couple projects of Macramé (bracelet and keychain) and today she wondered me with almost finished embroidery project, I would definitely proud to share when she will finish it! We just Love to spare time together to create something and her Awesome daddy and my Dear hubby is all for it :)

Kristin did a great job! Very organized and great sewing for such a young age. I didn’t learn to sew like that until I was 9 years old! My daugter, Allison is 14 and she crochets and knits. I taught her how about 3 or 4 years ago and she finishes more projects than I do! LOL She must have more patience than me; I sometimes think that I have Attention Deficeit Disorder or something because for me to finish anything is a miracle! I get so bored half-way through a project, (or sometimes even sooner), unless it is a constant color change or stitch change I have a hard time finishing. My 6 year old daughter, Sabina, wants me to teach her to crochet. I started teaching her the chains, but she is having a hard time; even so, she keeps asking me to teach her to chain. I tried to get my boys to learn, but they don’t want anything to do with it; go figure! LOL ;)

Thank you so much Heather for your comments and sharing about you and your kids skills. It was SO interesting to read! I think I have enough patience if needed, but I really do not excited to do some things (like wave in ends, sew seams, zippers) and it’s why my projects may take some time to finish them LOL
Allison looks like me. I’ve knitted for my dad first sweater when I was 10 and I think I knit and crochet non stop until now ;)
