What is your preferences - and a GIVEAWAY for You

Dear customers, I was thinking to start using Merchant Account, kind of
a system which allows to get Credit Card payments.

If  you compare it with PayPal, you can see 3 major differences:

  1. Merchant Accounts accept most Credit Cards from many countries.
  2. They don’t work with PayPal accounts. I mean you can’t enter your
    PayPal email/password.
  3. I, as a Seller,  have better  protection from  PayPal based types of
    fraud.

So I decided to ask a question: How tightly are you bound to your PayPal
accounts? And  if so, will  it be OK for you to  use your  PayPal  card as a
Credit Card?

And to lightening this boring process to read post and reply questions…
Oh well, you know me, I really do not need a motivation for contests ;o)

I’m flexible. While I use my paypal account for a majority of my online purchases, I also use my regular credit card when paypal is not accepted by a particular online merchant.

I have had a merchant account in the past and it was very costly for me for the amount of sales I had. However if you are selling volume, then it can be more cost effective than Paypal.

As a buyer, I like the convenience of using my Paypal, especially if it has funds in it. If my funds are depleted, I do like the option of using my credit card. Most of the merchants I buy from (and I am big internet shopper), there are various payment option including non-PayPal credit card acceptance and Paypal. I think if you have the volume to justify a merchant account or if the pricing is as good or better than Paypal, I think it is a good idea to offer both :-)

I don’t have a paypal or credit card so I use cash or money order. I don’t trust a lot of things online as it is very easy for anyone to hack into anyone’s account.

Since setting up my website (www.mycrochetboutique.com) I only use my PayPal Bussiness account and use the paypal debit/credit card to purchase all my yarns and patterns. At the end of every month I have to print out my paypal statement and subtract my purchses from my sales. For me that makes it easy to pay taxes quarterly. I do also keep a folder with receipts just incase!! I have had a few customers tell me they feel safer paying via PayPal also. Keep up the great work, Betsy

Until recently citizens of my country couldn’t have a paypal account so I learnt to live without and so far all places have accepted my credit card.
However I have paid through Paypal, using my credit card, without needing an account so as long as this option is avaialble Paypal is fine by me.

I feel safer with PayPal, and prefer to use it if it is an option. Plus I like that if i’m using PayPal I don’t have to run downstairs to get my credit card out of the wallet :)
