The Winners!!!

What a week has stood out! Thank you so much dear ladies for all such great coat name suggestions!!!
 
During the week I tried on each of your proposed ideas and almost all of them fitted perfectly. And just yesterday, I narrowed down the choice to three of them:
“Spring Time on Paris” by SherryG, “Belle Petite Lace” by Jeannette Di Lorenzo and “Primavera alla Koval Lace Coat” by Izumi Goto.
 
Waking up today and looking at 4 version of this coat I already came with, I caught myself thinking that this is definitely my favorite creation so far (after lovely dughter Kristin of course) because it’s about everything I love: lace, which reflects the freshness of any season, a combination of different stitch patterns, attention to details, an “intricate” design that is easy and fun to crochet, different options of style and yarn choice.
 
Thus, maybe both of us (me and the coat) deserve my name in the title?! Not to mention that amazing Tin came up with a cool pun on my first name that works great for Izumi’s suggestion…. so what if we go with:
 
A la Koval Petite Lace Coat
 
…and Marie just nail the description:

Lace Coat Progress

The result of voting for the style of back panel was about 45% to 55% in favor of a white coat. I also could not choose, so I ended up with the third version, which can be embellished in couple ways for different look. It’s look funny without collar and sleeves but I wanted to give you an idea what it’s look like 😉 What do you think?
For the back panel of turquoise coat – I’ll use it for lace tunic pattern for sure. And now I think think that back panel on white coat makes the coat a bit overloaded with variety of lace patterns 🤔
 
In the other news.
So far:
☑︎ Both coats about 70% done.
☑︎ All 💯+ stitch diagrams are finished.
☑︎ Instructions for sleeves and back inserts are written as well as material list and Special Stitches.
☑︎ Schematic and resizing half done.
 
I am so looking forward to finish the coats and pattern as soon ad possible. But first I should complete and ship secret project for Interweave Crochet Fall 2019 issue 😎

Snow in Seattle :)

Seattle’s first snow of the season ❄️☃️ Snow isn’t that common here and city tends to slow or even shut down with mere inches of snow. So, schools are still closed. And I started this morning with thawing nectar in the hummingbird’s feeders 🙃

If you are curious, below are some interesting facts about Seattle’s snow:

The most snow that Seattle has ever had was 64 inches. This record was made back in 1880. Usually, however, the average is about five inches of snow every season. In some years they don’t get any snow. Other notable snow seasons include the 21.4 inches back in 1950 and the 21.5 inches in 1916. Getting snow of this amount is really rare in Seattle.
