Featured Yarn 41 | Feza 3N Super Bulky

Have you ever knitted with yarn that was this big? I have not, but I would love to try this one someday. But I would try some different (NOT knit or crochet) projects with this yarn. I think I would play with project like this:

1. With worsted weight (#4 Medium), or probably thinner crochet a basic piece (it’s can be scarf, shawl or rag – you name it) in net pattern (something like [tr, ch 3] repeats, or probably [trtr, ch5] – I need to see this yarn first ;o))

2. Weave through every ch-3 sp lengthwise Feza 3N yarn, leaving 5-6” yarn tails on both ends, which is a king of fringe and NO weaving ends at least ;0)

And if work with contrasting base and Feza 3N, it may be really interesting look!

Well, let me introduce, 3N yarn by Feza!

Super bulky, super lofty and super snuggly!

Feza 3N is a super bulky wool blend yarn with a hint of lycra. It’s a lightly twisted wool roving available in all natural shades.

Design Your Hat | I’ve made these!! :)

Orange Hat

It was such a fan to test my own Design Your Hat pattern, and I’m so glad I’ve got a chance this weekend to do it. Not to mention that these hats really take just 2-3 hours of crocheting, and about 1-2 ball(s) of yarn!

The orange brim hat is made with Omega Sinfonia  (100% mercerized cotton; 218 yd [199 m]/3.52 oz [100 g]). The only difference is that I’ve added 4 sc-rows in contrasting brown and turquoise respectively.

And beanie hat made with Omega Cotton Thread #5 (100% cotton; 164 yd [150 m]/1.76 oz [50 g]). Even if this hat was a last minute project, Kristin didn’t mind to model the beanie during her evening workout ;o)

White Hat

The other news I’m upgrading my computer now, and just realized how much time (and patience!) it really takes… But I needed these changes badly, and I really hope everything will be back to normal pretty soon. In any case… if there is 4-5 days of delay with my response to your email – please just let me know, probably I’ve unfortunately missed it.

I am Back

… from a break with blogging, and sure I have lots to share with you! ;o) Many thanks for your patience and all of your support!!

First
, 90% of my very first crochet book is done! I’ll write about my experience in a week or so, – here are really some great tips to share and many mistakes to avoid, but the most important thing is that I’m still pretty excited about this book venture, and will finish this book with no doubts ;o) Even if the last 10% takes 90% of the time…

The other news

I was invited by a book publisher based in London to join their new exciting crochet craft book, and just can’t resist. Pattern and garment were mailed couple weeks ago and should be published in near future. Also, possible this year, should be published two books, including another my 6 designs. Can’t wait!!

Oh, and next week we will take the photos for my book!! How exciting!

And last, but not least, I’m  almost finished ~ Design Your Own Hat ~ pattern for You, which will be released October, 10 (yes, 2013! ;o), and available for download for FREE. Stay tuned!!
