Featured Yarn 31. Plymouth Yarn Co. Oh my! Nylon
September 2, 2010 | Filled under Yarn |
You know I’m pretty partial to natural fibers. But there are times when
you really want a synthetic for its non-allergenic, easy-care properties.
I took one look, one feel of Oh My! by Plymouth and understood how it
came by its name.
Fiber Content: 100% Nylon
Yardage: 70 yds/ 50 g (1.75 oz)
Gauge: 3 3/4 sts =1” 6MM (US #10)
Weight: Bulky
This is INCREDIBLY soft and supple yarn! Make everything for baby with
this, from washcloths to jackets. The only thing… please keep in mind
that due to small yardage per ball this yarn is enough pricey for projects
like blankets …but I bet every little wonder will ADORE it ;o) This yarn is
machine washed and gently dried.

eBay stores
It looks like very lovely yarn!
Due to cancer treatment many years (40) ago, I now have become crippled and suffer from many things and all are caused by “Radiation Therapy.” What does this have to do with yarn? Well, I have too much pain to crochet with any yarn heavier than 3 ply. Does the new “Oh, My!” Plynmouth glide smoothly through all the loops and twists made in crochet? I surely hope so because I need a yarn which I can use for all the darling patterns calling for bulky yarn. Will you please let me know? I enjoy making things for my many children in my life. From the ones in my family to those I “adopt.”
Oh Penny, this yarn glides SO SMOOTHLY! The only things, I would like to point you on is that because of texture of this yarn, stitches are not such “clean” as with plain cotton or wool and this yarn may be enough pricey because crochet request more yarn than knitting anyways.
I need 2 balls of white #9 yarn. Any ideas on where i can get it?
I definitely need white.
Thanks
Gale, try to find it in online stores, eBay or at Ravelry.com
