Polar Bear for Little Ones. Sneak peek
August 25, 2010 | Filled under Creations |
…As a mom, I always loved clothes that can “grow” with your Baby. This
one can be her first coat and late a jacket – made from unbelievable soft
Plymouth “Oh my!” yarn, this coat quickly become her favorite. A version
of Baby Boy Polar Bear jacket coming soon ;o)
For sizes. I wrote this pattern for baby and child sizes: 12M (18M, 2Y,
3/4Y, 5/6Y) according Standard Charts for crochet and knitting. But if
you think that may be interesting in smaller or bigger sizes, please feel
free to leave a comment here – it’s not too late to add 1 or 2 sizes if so.

This is BEAUTIFUL. Everytime I see your knitted designs, I pick up my needles to teach myself. I just can’t “get it”. LOL I guess I will just wait for all your crochet patterns.
Love all your designs. Keep them coming.
OHHH that is soo cute!
So infanty and beautiful :)
Thank you so much Ladies!!
Cherie, you are definitely should try ;) Knitting is really FUN! ;)
For Cherie Matassa, try http://www.knittinghelp.com ; that is how I learned after trying and failing for more than 10 years. I was determined to learn so that I could make things from Alla’s patterns, and it taught me that there is more than one way of knitting. Watch and try the “Continental Version” of knitting; it is very similar to crocheting, and when I did it that way, it just clicked! Now I knit anything and everything I can, lol. And, there is no greater gratification than to see one of Alla’s patterns come to life in your hands! ;) Hope this helps!
Ah, Heather, Thank you so much for sharing a link and tips!! You are Amazing!
Cherie, I would also recommend bamboo needles (I usually use circular ones, like these : http://www.paradisefibers.net/Clover-Takumi-Knitting-Needles-p/1041.htm) – a 100% guarantee that you will enjoy knitting from beginning :). Oh and I really have no idea why, but in Russian ppl usually start learn knitting from trying making socks. I think, if I did that, I would NEVER loved knitting… :) LOL
Oh, Alla, you are so funny…I agree, I think I would not have loved knitting either if I started with socks! LOL :D
I have never used the bamboo needles; is there a big difference compared to the aluminum ones? I will have to buy some and try them out.
Btw, Alla, how soon can we expect your new patterns to be out? I am anxiously awaiting ;)
OHHHHH thanks a million!!!!!!! I am going to look at it. I NEED to learn to knit…it is now an obession. LOL
I just love this Alla!!!
Thank you Sweetie!!
