September 12, 2008 | Filled under Yarn |
… did you still remember this category?! Oh, even if I didn’t post here so long,
I’ve discovered lots of great yarn and one of my newest favorites is Cathay by
Debbie Bliss, beautifully crafted in Italy cotton/silk blend.
Yardage: 105, Fiber Content: 50% cotton, 35% viscose, 15%
silk, Stitches(st./4 in.): 22, Needle Size: 5 US, Weight: 50g
Cathay is the latest additional to the Debbie Bliss yarn family. It’s a beautiful
cotton/silk/viscose mix, a double knitting yarn with a subtle sheen and fantastic
drape that is a pure pleasure to knit with and wear.
… Inspired by Chinese silks, the mainly bright palette for the 15 shades in the
Cathay range, with the silk bringing an intensity to vivid purples, scarlet and
gold….
• cotton/silk/viscose mix creation
• perfect for every season and any projects!
• Machine washable in cold water
great places to buy: some colors available here (but a deal!); here
and don’t forget to check eBay stores.
What beautiful yarn colors and the texture looks so soft! Are you going to be using some of these yarns for the fall/winter sweaters? I can’t wait to see what this yarn is like in person.
I have a hot pink and lime and I’m going to use it for some spring projects… Heather, I bet you will love it! ;)
HUGS,
