Dream Catcher | Crochet Blanket/Throw for Baby Boys Girls Adult

Dream Catcher MAIN

Dream Catcher

On a wonderful and cool night or day, feel warmth and love when you wrap your special little boy in this stylish Dream Catcher Blanket! Give your boy a soft snuggly hug with this very first piece from the boy’s collection. As he falls into a gentle slumber, may his bad dreams get tangled in the blanket’s intricate basket-weave design, and his good dreams softly slip through. While promising a peaceful bedtime, this blanket’s versatility allows it to make a stylish, fashion-forward addition to your nursery or home décor.

Crochet with gorgeous merino wool yarn for cold days, or use any yarn weights for other seasons and occasions. Make an equally stunning blanket in colors of your choice! Because the blanket size is so easily adjusted, make it a baby blankie, a king-size comforter, bedspread or a stylish scarf for yourself by working first 23-33 rows of stitch pattern. Experiment with two different designs of border stitch patterns – as in the featured white blanket – and easily apply them to any custom-sized pieces without any adjustments and recalculating. Even more, work only first 6 rounds of white blanket’s border to get a third option of different looking and fun border!

      Hi Rosetta,

Hi, I’m trying to make your dream at her for my future grandson. I have translated some of it into UK stitching but am still getting problems with the horizontal puff stitch. Do you have a video by any chance of the stitches?

  15. 15
    Gillian Gordon says:

I just don’t seem to be able to get it right, the change to UK from US must be the problem can anyone help please, the stitches in row 5 are just not working out right. I have undone it so may times trying something slightly different in case my understanding is wrong

    Carol says:

I have reworked Row 5 over and over and just can’t seem to follow. My horizontal puff stitches are not placed over the correct gaps from Row 4. Am I supposed to be chaining 1 after completing the puff stitch? And is there supposed to be a dc on both sides of the group of 3 puff stitches? Am I looping around the wrong dc to make the puff per chance? Ugh! I need this blanket by next weekend and know once I get it down I’ll be fine

    • Carol says:

Thanks! I finally figured out Row 5 but now can’t seem to figure out the back loop horizontal puff stitch in Round 3 of the border.

      Hi Donna,

My apologies for the delay with response, unfortunately I spent last 5 days with 101.84-103.64 fever and was not able even check emails … 

I don’t have a video, but please watch this one of Horizontal Puff Stitch, which is crocheted a bit different, but I like how this stitch explained: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLSdnPQkfc8

And now what a difference between stitch in video and mine. I crocheted my horizontal stitch around 2 dc and without ch 2 before making horizontal puff. Please take a look at first puff st in Row 5 : Dc in next dc of Row 4, then you work partial dc in next ch-1 sp of Row 4: yarn over, insert hook into next ch-1 sp and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops, and now you work horizontal puff st over first dc and next partial dc: (yarn over, insert hook from front to back under posts of previous dc and current stitch and pull up a loop) 2 (3, 4) times, yarn over and pull through all 6 (8, 10) loops on hook.

Please let me know if you may have any questions. I’ll be in touch.
